The MQR or manual quick release mechanism is designed to provide fire valve closure by releasing the stainless steel tension cable, which holds the fire valve in the open position.

By pressing the red push button, the MQR spindle and pulley wheel assembly is released which allows the fire valve to close.

The MQR is constructed using a high impact ABS enclosure, with brass internal components to prevent seizure and a 40mm diameter brass pulley.
