Designed
to provide a constant read out of tank contents, using
internal or external pressure sensors and a range of
gauge heads, covering sizes from 100 to 250mm in diameter.
This range of hydrostatic gauges also
includes pressure transducers and electronic gauges,
as well as current
loop amplifiers and direct, hydrostatic switching modules. In operation, the standard hydrostatic gauge is mechanically
powered from an internal or external tank mounted pressure
sensor, this is connected by a copper capillary which
is sheathed in a terylene reinforced PVC tube, to the
gauge head and provides a constant reading of tank
contents.
The pressure signal, generated by the tank sensor
can also be used to provide either, 0 to 10v or 4 to
20mA
signal, via a pressure transducer.
In turn, this proportional signal may then be used
to create switching points using a current loop
amplifier as well as to provide an analogue readout
using an
electronic gauge head, making the system ideal
for use in conjunction with a building management system. Gauge head construction is in stainless steel, for
both mechanical and electrically driven systems, whilst
tank sensors are usually manufactured from mild steel,
with an electron beam welded stainless steel diaphragm.
